WPI-Bio2Q Newsletter “Bio2Q Connect” Vol.2, Issue 15 Published

WPI-Bio2Q has published the latest issue of its newsletter, “Bio2Q Connect,” today on May 29, 2026. This issue covers the following updates and activities from across the center:

Message from the Administrative Director (The Pulse of Midterm Bio2Q):
Reflections on the center’s midterm progress and foundations (Q Bio Synergy Sessions, Faculty Club, and the Structural Biology Facility) as we prepare for the interim evaluation. It also highlights the center’s thriving community culture, including the growth of the STaMP Program with 30 students enrolled and a record 52 internship applications.

Welcome On Board!: Introductions to the three new members who joined the center in April and May: Ms. Eva Romera Recio (Bio-1), Ms. Diana Solenthaler (Bio-2), and Ms. Shanshan Zhou (Technical Staff).

Research Series #13: “Temporal Dynamics of Genetic Disease Risk” by Dr. Shohei Kojima (Jr. PI).

Open Lab Updates: Announcement regarding the acquisition of the Epredia CryoStar NX70 cryostat for our shared equipment.

The 3rd WPI-Bio2Q Retreat: An overview of the 2-day retreat held at Resol no Mori (May 28–29), featuring a keynote session by Dr. Moran Yassour.

Center Demographics & Management: Official updates on the WPI-Bio2Q organizational member count (124 total members as of April 1) and the management system structure.
