The Keio University Human Biology-Microbiome-Quantum Research Center (WPI-Bio2Q) held the third WPI-Bio2Q Retreat on May 28 and 29 in Chiba, Japan.
Retreat venue: Resol No Mori, Chiba, Japan
Concept:
❶ Bio2Q goal
Integrating biology, microbiome, and quantum computing for healthy longevity
❷Purpose of this Bio2Q Retreat
To establish a Bio2Q network of researchers to achieve the interdisciplinary scientific goal of Bio2Q
Sixty-five scientists and staff members participated in the retreat, attending scientific group and center discussions over the course of two days.
The second LEAD50 Lectureship Series was led by Moran Yassour , Ph.D. / Associate Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Visiting Scientist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
In addition to the discussions and seminar, participants enjoyed outdoor and indoor activities (recreation and a science quiz).
The scientific and personal networks developed during the retreat were tremendously valuable to Bio2Q and will accelerate the development of its interdisciplinary scientific community.
Retreat Organizing Committee:
Daniel Mende, Kunimichi Suzuki, Leonie Brockmann, Cody Cole, Tingting Chen,
Yukari Sato, Junta Komamura, Minami Hosoya, Miyuki Ogino, and Hongping Wei
