Introducing new member of Bio2Q
We are excited to welcome Dr. Jung Hyun Im as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Bio-1 Core of Bio2Q.
“Hello, everyone. I am very pleased to join Bio2Q as a postdoctoral researcher.
My research career began with Master course in stem cell major with the study of finding chemicals eliminating ESCs selectively to overcome limitations of investigated the unique mechanisms of viral dsRNA recognition by viral RNA
sensing proteins under the guidance of Professor Fujita from Kyoto University, Japan. After earning my doctoral degree, I worked in the Laboratory of Environmental Infection Control, Louis-Pasteur Center of Medical Research as a research Scientist, investigating effective disinfection methods using hypochlorite water.
With this diverse research background, I am eager to explore primate-specific proteostasis mechanisms. In particular, I am interested in how intestinal epithelium maintains proteostasis under diverse external stressors. My strong motivation for this research stems from personal experience with food-related allergies, which has driven my interest in understanding how intestinal mechanisms contribute to overall physical health. I believe my research at Bio2Q will be a crucial step toward fulfilling my ultimate scientific curiosity.
I prefer working collaboratively with others through discussion rather than working in isolation. So, I look forward to expanding our research horizons together by sharing and exchanging scientific inspiration at Bio2Q. ”
