3. The theme of discussion during the retreat was “Interdisciplinary Problems and Solutions.”
Fifty scientists and staff members participated in the retreat and attended scientific group and center discussions over the course of two days.At a seminar on science communication led by Dr. Scott Behie, participants learned how to effectively communicate scientific ideas.
In addition to the discussions and seminar, participants enjoyed an outdoor activity (photo rogaining) and an indoor activity (science quiz).
The scientific and personal networks developed during the retreat were tremendously valuable to Bio2Q and will accelerate the development of its interdisciplinary scientific community.
